"After spending the day at The Island in Pigeon Forge, we decided to grab a bite at Margaritaville before leaving. The host was very polite, and since it was early in the day during the week, it wasn’t busy at all—we were seated immediately. Our waitress was friendly. Unfortunately, my meal fell short of expectations. I ordered the Jerk Salmon (jerk-glazed, sautéed spinach, basmati rice) and asked to swap the spinach for another side, only to be told it was actually a garnish, not a side. That seemed a bit odd to me, but I decided to go without the veggie. The salmon itself was overcooked and the glaze seemed to be missing—probably the driest salmon I’ve had in a while. On the other hand, my friend’s Grilled Chicken Sandwich was good, and the overall service was pleasant. I’d be willing to give Margaritaville another try in the future and hope the kitchen hits the mark next time."
"It’s the kind of place you go once to experience but it’s not going to become a favorite. The food was good and proportions decent but nothing spectacular and it’s on the pricey side, definitely feels like you’re paying more for the atmosphere than the food itself. I will say though that the carnival alcoholic drink I got was phenomenal! We bought one group photo from the photographer but only because it felt very pushy and like we were super pressured to even after saying no thanks at first. Overall, still pretty nice and the building is very unique inside and out, liked it enough to buy a souvenir in the gift shop."
"We were a little hesitant to try this place because of some negative reviews. Their menu was large and sounded so good, so we decided to go and make our own opinion. We went at 5:30, just before the rush on restaurants in this area during vacation season. The restaurant was busy, but we were seated quickly. Our server, Tamara, greeted us quickly and our service throughout our meal was superb. Our food was delicious, came out in a timely manner, was hot, fresh and very eye appealing. The Chicken Tinga Bowl was one of the best I have ever had! So for us, it’s a 5 star and we would return again when in the area."
Early in the day during the week is ideal to experience Margaritaville with fewer crowds and immediate seating.
